Imagine this… It is a warm morning, a nice 85 degrees with the fresh air blowing and the sun shining. You arrive to a warm welcome at the wonderful Fantasia Gem and Mineral shop. After a cup of complimentary coffee or some ice tea you are ready to head to the mine.
On the short drive to the mine you are taught all about crystal, how it forms, and what to look for once you arrive at the famed Avatar Crystal mine. When you reach the mine you are given a short but thorough safety course and you are provided with hard hats, elbow pads, knee pads, digging bars, gloves, and everything else you need to get started.
You are taken to an area where you can see huge quartz seams and exposed crystal pockets. This is your private area to mine in for the entire day!

Your certified mining instructor teaches you the specialized techniques used by professional miners to extract the crystal in spectacular sparkling plates, and remains with you for the entire day to give you personal one on one assistance with digging.
Gold Panning at Fantasia is a miners favorite past-time!
There is always pop, water, or ice tea available to drink, and mid-day you take a short break to have your choice of a sandwich or salad, all included in your crystal mining adventure.
When you return to Fantasia you rinse your crystal in our washing room for a preliminary look at the hidden treasures you have found. You see the crystals glisten and shine as the dirt washes away exposing the beauty and wonder of the formations you have unearthed. You are the first person to EVER see these remarkable crystals that have been hidden in the ground for millions of years!
For the next part of your mining adventure you receive a giant bucket of rich gold bearing pay dirt. You head over to the flume and use the flowing water to carefully sift the dirt to reveal the gold that is hidden inside. This is the same technique that old time gold miners have used for centuries to find that precious valuable metal!
